이 시리즈 첫 장소인 경복궁은 서울의 중심이자 조선의 으뜸 궁궐로, 한국을 여행하는 외국인들이 빼놓지 않고 방문하는 곳이다.
1권 - 『경복궁』
경복궁의 정문인 광화문부터 시작해서 법전인 근정전, 왕의 집무실 사정전, 경회루, 강녕전, 교태전, 자경전, 향원정 등을 지나 동십자각까지 한 권에 알차게 담았다. 주요 건축물들 외에 독자들이 다양한 풍경을 즐길 수 있도록 장소와 관련된 행사(혼례식, 연회, 활쏘기, 장 담그기 등) 모습도 함께 담아 생동감을 살렸다.

‘A Korea Coloring Book Tour’ series is designed to appeal to a wide range of readers who may or may not have already visited the places being featured. Those who are yet to visit these places will enjoy their vivid ambience as if they were actually visiting, and for those who have visited the places, the series will bring back memories they would happily recall.
The first volume of the series takes the readers to Gyeongbok Palace, the heart of old Seoul and the principal palace of the Joseon Dynasty, the last Korean monarchy. The palace is a must-see for foreign visitors in Korea.
Vol. 1: Gyeongbok Palace:
Starting from the main gate, the tour takes one to the major halls and facilities of Gyeongbok Palace, the principal palace of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). They include the main throne hall, the king’s office, a floating pavilion for official functions, the living chambers of the king and the queen, the queen dowager’s residence, a private outdoor pavilion of the royal family, and a guard tower. The drawings depict the structures along with activities held at these venues like a royal wedding, a banquet, an archery demonstration, and the making of sauces for the palace kitchens.
The book will give the readers pleasure in reflecting and partaking of the ambience and value of Gyeongbok Palace as they apply colors to the exquisite drawings in a style of their own.
